An Amazon patent seems to have come up with an original approach to this situation, instead of blocking these toxic players, the system puts them in the same games/competitions, as reported by Futurism. The patent, first identified by journalists from Protocol, goes beyond the simple attempt to eliminate the worst members of online gaming communities. A number of games, including Apex Legends and Max Payne 3, have already changed their system so that cheaters and trolls end up in the same games, isolated from anyone trying to have fun. This new system can track players throughout all their matches, taking into account how they communicate with teammates and opponents, as well as other significant details of their behavior.
